motherhood is entertaining
Motherhood is entertaining, it's just so damn funny at times. I haven't really documented Colin's imaginary friends because well I can't take pictures of them but honestly they need to be talked about so I don't forget. He has three imaginary friends at the moment, Peanut Butter and Jelly, Red and Jazz.
Let's discuss Red and Jazz first because they are easy to explain. Well you see they are reindeer, they live with us and often pull our car. They are great to have around because they help quite a bit with traffic as I'm sure you can imagine.
Peanut Butter and Jelly on the other hand is a bit trickier to explain. Well she is Colin's sister. She was born out of Colin's belly button. She is three years old now (she's had three birthdays this year, July 23, August 23, and September 23). Now our biggest issue with PB&J is she is naughty, she pinches, bites, hits--all the things my sweet C doesn't do. It's really funny. He'll call us into his room after bedtime and say "Peanut Butter and Jelly pinched me." He expects us to reprimand her which we do. The other night he let us know she puked on his blanket. Honestly this chick is a pain in our ass but I love that he has someone to play with.

not a bad view
to the or i go
Off to the OR I go to amputate my left lower leg which is trying to kill me. Hopefully this is a cureall. This is going to suck big time but if it gives me an increased survival rate I'm in. The PET scan showed no evidence of metastatic disease which means the chemo is working but I think we need local control as well as the systemic control. My docs are on board, let's do this.

final trip to dolly's
Dolly's is seasonal, it's closed oct-mayish which is so sad because it's delicious. I need one open year round down in Florida. Just saying if you are reading this Dolly come on down!

499 steps
499 steps to get to the top of Chimney Rock, it was a whole heck of a lot. Tiny made it though.
gem mining
I wanted to do something special just Tiny and I. We found a local place that does gem mining and I figured that'd be just the place. We spent an afternoon sifting through mud to find treasures--it was awesome.
